B.F.A. Graphic Design
I am a digital illustrator, graphic designer, and photographer originally from Cameroon and currently based in Maryland. Across all three disciplines, my work engages aesthetics of warmth, simplicity, beauty, joy, and nostalgia, though each medium allows me to explore these ideas in distinct ways. My illustration practice is rooted in themes of African identity, diversity, whimsy, and authenticity. My work is rendered in a semi-realistic style influenced by the animation I grew up watching, including Studio Ghibli, Steven Universe, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, among many others.

My graphic design work reflects a similar interest in creating emotional atmospheres of warmth, joy, and calm. These same qualities appear in my photography, though my images more directly center on themes of nostalgia and memory. Through the use of warm palettes and tones, I aim to create visuals that feel antiquated and welcoming, allowing viewers to feel as though they are stepping into a memory or revisiting a moment from the past. While my work is informed by personal experience and identity, it is not driven by overt messages or heavy social or political commentary. I am more interested in creating work that exists for its own sake. My art is meant to be experienced rather than interpreted, an invitation to slow down and engage with texture, color, emotion, and detail. I want viewers to linger, observe quietly, and find meaning through feeling rather than explanation.
