B.F.A. Graphic Design

My practice moves between photography, graphic design, and illustration depending on what an idea needs. I don’t stick to one medium; I choose the one that feels right for the message. Photography lets me capture real people and moments as they exist, without forcing them. Design and illustration give me more control, letting me push those moments further through color, distortion, and composition. Most of my work blends all three, especially in projects like album artwork, posters, and branding.

A lot of what I make comes from things that are hard to explain directly. Instead of trying to put them into words, I build them visually. My work often looks bold, loud, or chaotic at first, that’s intentional. I’m interested in the gap between how something appears on the surface and what’s actually going on underneath. The energy, the tension, the feeling that something is slightly off or layered, that’s where most of my work lives.

I’m heavily influenced by music culture and contemporary design, especially in the way visuals can carry emotion and identity at the same time. That influence shows up in how I structure compositions and how I use type, imagery, and space. I want the work to feel immediate and visually engaging, but also personal, something that holds more the longer you look at it.

At its core, my work is about looking past first impressions. Not everything is meant to be understood right away, and I’m okay with that. I’m more interested in creating something that feels honest, layered, and a little unresolved, something that reflects the complexity of people and the things they carry beneath the surface.
