Charlotte Edmunds

B.F.A. Photography

My work is driven by a desire to create photographs that feel intimate, honest, and deeply

human. I am drawn to transitional moments - those quiet spaces where vulnerability and

connection exist. Photography has become the language of emotional experience for me when words fall short. Each of my photographs serves as evidence that closeness happened, that presence was shared, and that intimacy can be found anywhere. My most compelling images are rooted in movement, freezing moments just before they fully resolve.

In this body of work, I explore love as something that moves through places, bodies, and

time. Working within my street and cinematic photography, I document how these feelings

appear in everyday environments and how they remain even when environments and people change. Through the use of atmospheric lighting and intentional composition, I help convey the emotional tone of each frame.

Alongside digital photographs, I also explore how physical materials can carry visual

memory and personal history. By combining alternative processes and textile elements, I extend photographs into the physical space, creating a familiar atmosphere that is meant to convey fleeting memories through time. These materials translate that memory is not only seen, but held, worn, and lived in significant parts of our everyday lives.

As I continue my artistic journey, I remain committed to pursuing emotional truth through my

photography, prioritizing authenticity and feeling over perfection and formality.
