B.F.A. Graphic Design

My design philosophy is rooted in clarity, balance, and creative freedom. I believe design
should communicate ideas in a way that feels clear and intentional, while still allowing room
for experimentation and personal expression. Structure and design principles are important,
but I see them as a foundation rather than a limitation. Some of the most meaningful and
engaging work comes from knowing the rules and understanding when it is appropriate to push
beyond them.

Nature and animals strongly influence the way I approach design. I am inspired by the balance
found in natural forms, patterns, movement, and structure can exist together while still feeling
organic and unique. This influence appears in my use of flowing shapes, playful compositions,
and bold color choices. I want my work to feel natural and expressive rather than overly rigid or
forced.

Across my projects, I aim to create a balance between organization and creativity. I use
hierarchy, layout, spacing, and consistency to keep my designs functional and easy to
understand, while also allowing room for visual interest and individuality. I enjoy creating work
that feels both thoughtful and lively, where structure supports the message without
overpowering it.

I also design with the viewer in mind. For me, design is ultimately a form of communication, and
I want the audience to feel welcomed into the work rather than overwhelmed by it. My goal is to
create designs that are approachable, engaging, and visually memorable, while still serving a
clear purpose.

Overall, I see good design as thoughtful, expressive, and adaptable. It should be structured
enough to communicate effectively, but flexible enough to reflect personality, emotion, and
creativity.
