Walter Pater once wrote that “all art continually aspires toward the condition of music.” That
idea resonates deeply with my practice. As human beings, we move through life in a sequence
of linear events, building personal narratives over time. It is often easier to connect
emotionally with a song, book, or film because they unfold gradually, guiding us through a
temporal experience. A static image, by contrast, does not inherently offer that progression. My
challenge as an artist is to explore how to bridge those gaps—how to create work that draws
viewers into a narrative without relying on traditional storytelling forms. Through color, light,
and abstraction, I seek to evoke atmosphere and emotional movement, shaping images that
feel less fixed and more like moments suspended within an ongoing inner story.
